Hijab-wearing model Halima Aden was a surprise at the show of Saudi designer Hunaida Al-Serafi. This American model of Somali origin shined on this occasion in a luxurious blue dress, after she had been absent from the international show scene for 3 years due to her retirement. This collection for spring and summer 2024 was titled Honayda Cosmos, and it was inspired by the world of space and Rayana Barnawi, the first Saudi woman to go into space. Therefore, the designs were distinguished by embroideries in the form of stars, moons, and planets.

Designer Arwa Al-Banawi chose the title “Ramatouelle Desert” for her collection for next spring and summer. In it, she combined features from the West and others from the East, drawing inspiration from the atmosphere of a French coastal town and memories from her birthplace in the city of Jeddah. The most prominent features of her collection included suits and dresses inspired by the jalabiya style, many of which she coordinated with Adidas sports shoes.

Dar Abadia’s collection, by its designer, Shahad Al-Shuhail, was distinguished by the minimalist style that it adopted since its launch in 2018. It relied on the principle of simplicity, which was coupled with touches of traditional handicrafts, to present modern designs dominated by black and white colors, and accompanied by large-sized metal accessories.
